Q: Is there any difference in the monthly subscription for 500M/1Gbps Fibre Home Bundle 12-month contract plan and a 24-month contract?

The monthly subscription is different for the different contract terms.The 500M Fibre Home Bundle and 1Gbps Fibre Home Bundle is priced at $59.90/month and $69.90/month respective with a 12-month contract.The 500M Fibre Home Bundle and 1Gbps Fibre Home Bundle is priced at $49.90/month and $59.90/month respective with a 24-month contract.

Q: I am currently on a 24-month contract Fibre Home Bundle plan and still within my contract period. Can I re-contract to the new 12-month contract Fibre Home Bundle plan?

If you would like to re-contract to a 12-month Fibre Home Bundle plan, you must be currently out of contract or at least on the 21st month of your current contract (minimum contract term based on our re-contract eligibility policy) in order to perform re-contract.

Q: I am currently on a 24-month contract Fibre Home Bundle plan and still within my contract period. Can I change plan to the new 12-month contract Fibre Home Bundle plan?

No, you can't. Change plan from 24-month contract to 12-month contract is strictly not allowed. You could perform a re-contract to a 12-month Fibre Home Bundle plan.

Q: If I sign up for the 12-month contract Fibre Home Bundle Plan, can I change plan or re-contract to a 24-month contract Fibre Home Bundle plan within the contractual period?

You can only change plan / re-contract to the 24-month Fibre Home Bundle plan if you meet the minimum contract term, i.e., 3 months before end of contractual period subjected to the Re-contract Eligibility Policy and the Change Plan policy.

Q: I am currently on another Singtel broadband plan. Can I re-contract to the new Fibre Home Bundle / Fibre Entertainment Bundle+ Plan (24-month contract)?

You can only re-contract to the new Fibre Home Bundle/Fibre Entertainment Bundle+ Plan if you meet the minimum contract term, subjected to the Re-contract Eligibility Policy.

Q: I am currently on another Singtel Fibre plan. Can I change my plan to the new Fibre Home Bundle / Fibre Entertainment Bundle+ Plan (24-month contract)?

Yes, you may upgrade your price plan anytime, subjected to the Change Plan Eligibility Policy.

Q: What does "no bit throttling" means?

The Fibre Home Bundle Plans are on a managed network, hence there is bit throttling. This means that the plans come with Internet traffic management of Bit Torrent or peer-to-peer (P2P) file-sharing activities. This benefits most Internet users because it ensures ample network bandwidth for all other Internet activities (e.g. video streaming, gaming, web surfing).

The current router warranty of existing customers with compatible routers will be extended and valid till the end of new contract period. Wireless Router is Win/Mac compatible.

Q: Do I get a new wireless router if my current router is not compatible when I re-contract to 500Mbps/1Gbps plan?

Yes, you get a new wireless router. Collect your new router at the redemption outlet by presenting your NRIC/FIN, the redemption letter, and the Service Agreement form from your contract start date.

Q: What are the documents I need to present to collect my new wireless router?

Please present the following documents at the collection point

Q: What if I am not available to collect my new router?

You may authorize another person to collect the router on your behalf. The following documents must be presented for verification at the collection point.
  • Appointed person and registered Singtel Fibre customer’s NRIC/FIN or passport
  • Service Agreement Form of the registered Singtel Fibre customer
  • Completed Authorized of Proxy form (found at the back of the redemption letter)

Q: What happens to the balance on my original contract of my Singtel Home Broadband after I have upgraded to a Singtel Fibre Broadband service plan?

Your original contract will be ceased and you will start your new Singtel Fibre Broadband service plan on a 24-month contract.

Q: What will happen to my existing residential telephone line when I sign up for any Singtel Fibre Broadband service?

Your current residential number will be bundled into the Fibre Broadband plan and converted into a Home Digital Line with free unlimited local calls.

Q: Am I required to change my current Home Broadband ID, email and password when I sign up for any Singtel Fibre Broadband plans?

You may choose to retain your existing Home Broadband ID, email and password during the sign-up process.

Q: Will there be any charges for conversion if I plan to migrate from SingNet 56K dial-up or Magix plan to Singtel Fibre Broadband service plans?

There are no additional charges for conversion from SingNet 56K dial-up or Magix to Singtel Fibre Broadband service plans.

Q: I am currently a Singtel Home Broadband subscriber on ADSL. Can I apply for Singtel Fibre Broadband service plans without terminating my existing Singtel Home Broadband ADSL services?

Yes, you can. Singtel Home Broadband on ADSL uses telephone lines which are different from the fibre optic infrastructure which will deliver high quality Singtel Fibre Broadband services into your home.

Q: If I am going to relocate to a new house where the area is without Fibre to the Home coverage, what should I do?

In the event that your Singtel Fibre Broadband service plans cannot be provisioned due to Fibre to the Home coverage issues, SingNet reserves the right to terminate your current plan without termination charges and to provide you with a no frills 15M mio Home ADSL plan (Applicable for all Fibre Entertainment Bundle) or 15M Singtel Home Broadband on ADSL (applicable for 150M Singtel Fibre Home Bundle bundles only). You will have to continue to serve the remaining months of your contract. All promotional VASes that are exclusive with the Singtel Fibre Broadband service plan would cease.

In the event that if you do not wish to continue with your Singtel Fibre Broadband services during relocation and do not want a 15M mio Home ADSL (Applicable for all Fibre Entertainment Bundle/exCite bundles) or 15M Singtel Home Broadband on ADSL contract (applicable for 150M Singtel Fibre Home Bundle only), then termination charges for your current Singtel Fibre Broadband service plans shall apply.

Q: I am a tenant renting an apartment/house from a home owner, can I sign up for a Singtel Fibre Broadband service at the residence?

Yes, you can sign up for a Singtel Fibre Broadband plan. Please check if your premise is Fibre-ready. If Fibre Termination Point installation is required at your residence, you will need to seek a written permission from your landlord / home owner before the optical fibre installation. Please download and complete this Letter of Authorization to present to the NetLink Trust contractor at period of fibre installation.

Q: What happens if I have existing contracts with Singtel TV and/or Home Digital Line?

If you are an existing Singtel TV subscriber, you are eligible to sign up for a 24-month Singtel Fibre BroadBand service plan. Your existing Singtel TV content contract (if any) will still continue.
If you are an existing Home Digital Line subscriber, you are eligible to sign up for a 24-month Singtel Fibre BroadBand service contract anytime within the duration of your Home Digital Line contract.

Setting Up Fibre Broadband

Q: How long is the duration of the Fibre Termination Point installation?

Upon successful sign-up of Singtel Fibre BroadBand services may be activated after 5 working days, subjected to availability of resources. The installation work within the residential unit should take less than 4 hours on average and Netlink Trust may send up to 3 contractors to speed up the work and minimize inconvenience to you.

Q: What are the installation charges like?

Fibre Termination Point is chargeable at $235.40 (with 7% GST) for High Rise or $481.50 (with 7% GST) for landed properties. The above amount is charged on behalf of NetLink Trust, unless stated otherwise in Fibre Broadband plan promotions. When you subscribe to a new Singtel Fibre Broadband service and if your premise is eligible for the first pass free, the installation fees are waived for the first 15 metres of optical fibre.

Once the Fibre Termination Point is installed, a Singtel installation appointment would be required to set up your Singtel Fibre Broadband services. For customers who signs up for Fibre Bundle plans at Singtel retail shops or Singtel hotline, an installation charge of $90* (weekdays) or $145* (weekends) by Singtel is applicable for installation of equipment, activation and demo of service unless stated otherwise in the Fibre Broadband promotion. This installation charge will be levied if the customer is not available for installation appointment or does not meet the minimum system requirements.

Wiring charge of $80.25 will apply for wiring service from the modem to each computer/device within the first 35m, additional $10 is applicable for every subsequent 5m wiring length. The wiring service is free for the first Singtel TV set-top box on Singtel Fibre Entertainment Bundle. Subsequent Singtel TV set-up box sign-up is chargeable.

A registration charge of $53.50 (with 7% GST) is applicable for all Singtel Fibre Home Bundle plans for customers who signs up for Fibre Bundle plans at Singtel retail shops or the hotline.

Online Exclusive Fee Waiver!

For customers who sign up online at Singtelshop.com for 24-months Fibre Home Bundle plans, an installation charge of $90* (weekdays) or $145* (weekends) by Singtel is waived for installation of equipment, activation and demo of service. For customers who sign up online for Fibre Bundle plans, the registration charge of $53.50 (with 7% GST) will be waived.

Q: What are the installation time slots available?

During the sign-up process, Singtel will provide you available dates for you to book an appointment with NetLink Trust to lay the fibre and install the 1st TP to your home. Your NetLink Trust installation appointment may be scheduled at any of the following times when you sign up online for a new Singtel Fibre Broadband Plan, depending on resource availability.

Q: Can I self-install my Singtel Fibre Broadband service plans?

Due to the complexity of Fibre to the Home, all Singtel Fibre Broadband service plans will require an installation by a qualified SingNet installer.

Q: Will there be any downtime if I am to migrate from dialup or Magix plan to Singtel Fibre Broadband?

You may experience downtime on your existing services on the day of your installation.

Q: What happens if I miss my scheduled NetLink Trust installation timeslot?

You are required to notify us at least 3 days in advance if you need to change your NetLink Trust appointment time. You may do so by calling Singtel Customer Care at 1688. Note that if you missed the NetLink Trust installation appointment or changed the NetLink Trust appointment without notifying SingNet 3 days in advance, NetLink Trust cancellation fees will apply.

Q: Can I purchase my own equipment instead of using the devices issued by SingNet?

All necessary equipment to enable your Singtel Fibre Broadband services are provided unless otherwise stated. Please note that SingNet does not guarantee and support equipment that is not type-approved by both the IDA and SingNet.

Q: What happens if any of the equipment is damaged?

  • For the duration of your Singtel Fibre Broadband service contract, you are entitled to one-for-one replacement of the mio Box, ONT and/or the set top box - except under conditions deemed abnormal to typical wear and tear.

  • Such conditions include but are not limited to:
  • Spilled liquids including permanent discolouration of equipment casing
  • Attempted modifications to or repair of the equipment other than by a SingNet authorized agent
  • Cracks, dented or chipped equipment casing
  • Permanent defacement of equipment casing including markings due to permanent/inerasable marker or irremovable dirt, and disfigurement of the Singtel logo
  • Tampering/torn or missing manufacturing labels such as Serial No./Warranty of the device
  • Other vandalisms like permanent glue on the ports, points and casing

  • You may call 1688 to speak to our Customer Service between 8 am and 12 midnight daily for assistance on replacement of damaged equipment.

Q: Can I use my fibre equipment at my friend's home since he subscribes to the same Singtel Fibre Broadband service plan as I do?

No. All your fibre equipment is preconfigured to a specific premise. It will not function if you moved the equipment to another location.

Q: Can I use my existing ADSL modem or mio Box for my Fibre Broadband plan?

ADSL modem and mio Box are not configured for use on a Fibre to the Home network. You will be required to use the Fibre equipment provided to you during installation.
